EDUCATION IS KINDLING OF FLAME, NOT THE FILLING OF VESSEL”. – Socrates

It was then a felt need of the people in the vicinity of Durtlang- Leitan to have a school run by the Catholic Missionaries. Hence the school came into existence on the 4th  of December 1995 in Durtlang with a humble beginning of 37 students. The veteran missionary Rev. Fr. S. Michael as the Principal along with the staff Mrs. Lucy Zomingthangi and Teresa Lalruatkimi were the pioneers who paved the path for a brighter education in Durtlang. Over the years the school has grown in size and reputation, becoming one of the leading educational institutes in the locality.  The school under the patronage of St. Francis of Assisi was administered by the Diocese of Silchar for five years was then in the year 2000 handed over into the safe hands of “The Order of Friars Minor Capuchin” of the Holy Trinity Province Karnataka. From then on, the school saw a significant progress both in academic and co-curricular activities. At present school caters for 720 students having 23 teaching and non-teaching faculty. In 2023 school celebrated its silver jubilee. We salute and thank all the Priests, Sisters and teachers for their tireless service and the contribution for the growth and development  of the school.
